The Museum’s internship program provides an environment for qualified candidates to learn about the Holocaust and about Museum operations.
Internships are unpaid and open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, who are interested in learning more about museum practices.
Internships usually last for one semester, and flexible schedules are generally available.

The HMMSA internship program includes hands-on projects and opportunities to work with Holocaust scholars, education experts, and museum professionals to learn about their roles, responsibilities, and backgrounds. Interns are assigned to a department based on their academic background, professional experience, interests and goals. Under the supervision of HMMSA staff, interns work both independently and collaboratively on a variety of projects.

Applicants must be able to pass a standard pre-employment criminal background check and complete Child Safe Training before starting the internship.
Candidates that qualify for the interview stage of the process will be notified after applications close to schedule a Zoom interview session.
