The Memorial Scrolls Trust in London cares for 1564 Torah scrolls that represent the lost Jewish communities of Bohemia and Moravia.
The scrolls arrived in London in 1964, after being stored for more than 20 years in the form Michle synagogue in Prague. The Memorial Scrolls Trust has since loaned out more than 1400 of these scrolls to communities and organizations around the world in order to commemorate those lost during the Holocaust and encourage ongoing education about the events of the Holocaust.
The Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio is proud to display one of the Memorial Scrolls in our museum. This Zoom presentation will discuss the history of the Memorial Scrolls and how our scroll came to be a part of the Memorial Scroll collection.
