Visiting the Museum
The Holocaust Memorial Museum can accommodate groups tours of up to 200 participants in the Fall and Spring (September-May) and 100 participants during the Summer (June-August).
Tours last approximately 2-4 hours depending on group size. To schedule your field trip or tour for groups of 50 or less, please complete the form below at least two weeks in advance. For groups of 51-200, tours must be booked at least one month prior. Please book tours for April and May at least two months in advance in respect to Jewish holidays.
Tour requests are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and are available during museum hours or by special appointment for Sunday and weekday evenings. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us immediately by phone, (210) 302-6807.
Field Trip Information
If your class would like to eat at the museum during your visit, an outdoor space on our campus can be requested for groups of 50 or less, for packed lunches only. We do not allow food delivery from non-Kosher restaurants on campus. Please leave all lunches on your bus, no food is allowed inside the museum.
Due to the graphic nature of the content depicted in the Museum, tour requests will be accepted for grades 6 and up. For 5th grade groups, special consideration will be taken to ensure the students are prepared for the subject matter and visual depiction of the Holocaust. Exceptions will not be made for 4th grade or below.
For groups of 5th grade and under, the Museum offers a variety of other age appropriate educational resources. Museum staff can provide you with more detailed descriptions of Museum resources and services. For any questions, please contact the Museum at 210.302.6807 or email us at education@hmmsa.org.
