My Mother and Grandmother: What They Endured Version 2

  • Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio 12500 Northwest Military Highway San Antonio, TX, 78231 United States (map)

For the 2021 Texas Holocaust Remembrance Week, the HMMSA is leading a community-wide effort to offer twenty special topic presentations. The focus of the lectures will be on instilling in the students, educators, and general audience Elie Wiesel’s message that “the opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference.”

Join 2nd generation survivor Ginny Wind as she recounts how her mother survived during the Holocaust in this live virtual presentation through Zoom Webinar (Previously this presentation was listed as Mrs. Lala Gossen). The webinar format will allow for schools and students to interact with our presenters using the Q&A chat function but will not show the attendee’s video stream. All questions and comments will be screened by the museum staff during the presentations to prevent Zoom bombing. All presentations will be recorded and can also be viewed on our website.
