Teaching Complex History: Holocaust Education in the K-12 Classroom

Join fellow educators for our VIRTUAL training on how to teach Holocaust education in the classroom.

K-4 Panel Featuring: Suzannah Sitterle, Dripping Springs ISD

Learn how to utilize picture books and other literature to build foundations for future learning about the lessons of the Holocaust and connect with character education TEKS. The focus will be on "grab and go" lesson plans.

5-12 Panel Featuring: Lisa Barry, Alamo Heights ISD and Michelle Reed, Leander ISD

Join a panel of local educators to learn best practices, tools, and resources for incorporating the Holocaust curriculum into your upper elementary, middle, or high school classroom.

All educators who complete the 2-hour workshop will receive 2 State of Texas CPE credit hours.

While this workshop is provided free of charge, registration by December 7 is encouraged.

This workshop will be hosted virtually through Zoom. Attendees will receive log-in information after they register for the event.
