Nazi Medical Experimentation and Medical Ethics post-WWII

For the 2022 Texas Holocaust Remembrance Week, the HMMSA is leading a community-wide effort to offer twenty special topic presentations. The focus of the lectures will be on instilling in the students, educators, and general audience Elie Wiesel’s message that “the opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference.”

Join Dr. Jason Marrow & Dr. Rachael Vandermeer from UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine for a presentation entitled: Nazi Medical Experimentation and Medical Ethics post-WWII

"While the Nazi killing centers were primarily places of death, some camps were also used by Nazi doctors as laboratories. These physicians conducted a number of cruel and inhumane experiments on the prisoners at these camps in the name of science. This address will consider the backlash against the results of these experiments and the impact they have had on modern-day medical ethics."
