Jewish Ghettos in the Holocaust

For the 2022 Texas Holocaust Remembrance Week, the HMMSA is leading a community-wide effort to offer twenty special topic presentations. The focus of the lectures will be on instilling in the students, educators, and general audience Elie Wiesel’s message that “the opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference.”

Join Dr. Roger Barnes, Professor Emeritus of Sociology from the University of the Incarnate Word for a presentation entitled: Jewish Ghettos in the Holocaust

"Beginning in 1939, Jews living in Nazi-controlled territory were evicted from their homes and were forced to live in segregated and overcrowded ghettos. This lecture will explore what life was like in these Jewish Ghettos."
