Standing Up: German Resistance to the Nazis

For the 2022 Texas Holocaust Remembrance Week, the HMMSA is leading a community-wide effort to offer twenty special topic presentations. The focus of the lectures will be on instilling in the students, educators, and general audience Elie Wiesel’s message that “the opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference.”

Join Dr. Jason Johnson from Trinity University for a presentation entitled: Standing Up: German Resistance to the Nazis

"This lecture will address how German Jews resisted the growing popularity and political power of the Nazis in the 1930s and will analyze how the Nazi party used promises of economic recovery to gain political power and social influence in Germany."
