The Geography of the Rescuer

For the 2022 Texas Holocaust Remembrance Week, the HMMSA is leading a community-wide effort to offer twenty special topic presentations. The focus of the lectures will be on instilling in the students, educators, and general audience Elie Wiesel’s message that “the opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference.”

Join Chris Anderson and Dr. Alberto Giordano from the Texas State University for a presentation entitled: The Geography of the Rescuer

"This presentation will discuss rescuers of Jewish victims of the Holocaust. It will look at where rescue happened, and examine whether some people and places were more likely to be involved in rescue. The implications of such findings will be explored."

This presentation will be available in-person and through virtual live stream.
